Setup Fees & Domain Management
Below is a breakdown of how our setup fees and domain ownership work:
Option 1… If I Manage Your Domain Name
- If I register and manage your domain name, your setup fee is only $500 CAD.
- This covers the design and development of your website, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free process.
- Since the domain is under my management, your website remains securely hosted with me for the duration of our contract.
Option 2… If You Manage Your Domain Name
- If you prefer to own your domain name, I will charge a custom price for the design and development of your website.
- This is because a website built under your ownership can be transferred to another host at any time.
- The pricing for this option reflects the full value of a custom-built website tailored to your needs.
What Happens When the Contract Ends?
- If, at the end of your contract, you decide to move your website elsewhere, I will happily transfer both your domain name and website to you, free of charge, as a thank-you for your business.
- Your website will be handed over exactly as it stands on the final day of the contract.
Unless you would like to renew our business agreement.
Additional Important Details…
- The setup fee is non-refundable.
- All necessary tools and resources for your website are included—there are no hidden costs.
- Contracts are annual, giving you a full year of professional website management and support.
- You may cancel before approving the Final Mockup and only lose the setup fee. However, once the Final Mockup is approved, your yearly contract officially begins.
- Standard pages like “Contact,” “About Us,” and “Privacy Policy” are included with every website and are not counted as separate pages, so clients don’t need to worry about those.
How the Process Works…
- You start with just paying the setup fee and filling out our Client Website Questionaire.
- Then I will create a wireframe and a mockup design for your approval.
- Once you approve the Mockup and I deliver you your Fully Optimized Website, your yearly plan begins.
- After your yearly plan has ended, I will happily transfer both your domain name and website to you, free of charge, as a thank-you for your business or we can renew your plan.
